Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 6: Saturday Actions

Yesterday’s Premier League matches was packed with excitements, last minute dramas, turning points and essentially generous amount of mesmerizing goals finding the back of the net. Early kickoff between Liverpool and Everton for the 23rd Merseyside derby of the English Premier League, witnessed two outstanding strikes which led to 1-1 draw. Wrapping up the day was North London derby where both Arsenal and Spurs similarly ended with a 1-1 score line.  How well did your fantasy premier league players who participated in Saturday’s matches carry out?


Diego Costa – The sizzling Spaniard continued his remarkable start to the Premier League, adding his goal tally to eight goals against Aston Villa last season. Well taken powerful header in the penalty box, assisted by defender César Azpilicueta. A widespread favourite among fantasy premier league managers as well.

Sergio Aguero – The Argentinian hotshot finished spectacularly in the penalty box giving the lead for the team from Etihad. Aguero continuously made great runs and shots, not letting the Hull City defenders to have a break.

Edin Dzeko – A thunder shot goal from the left side of the pitch, having the Hull City goal keeper no chance of nearing it. Next came from a David Silva assist, a clinic finish to the right side of Allan McGregor.

Radamel Falcao – Another assist this week to Dutchman Robin Van Persie, displayed well link up play.

Robin Van Persie – Two games, two goals! A well taken goal that gave Manchester United all three points.

Graziano Pelle – The Italian’s scoring spree continues with a mesmerizing finish that earned the all three points. High in confidence, the in no doubt he has taken the Premier League by a surprise.


Willian da Silva – A cool headed performance by the Brazilaian who contributed early with an assist for fellow countryman Oscar. Towards the end, being at the right place to score an easy tap in.

Oscar – Young gifted player who displayed an inspiring performance by scoring as early as 7 minutes. Unlucky to get another goal as his shot was cleared of the line by Villa new signing Aly Cissokko.

David Silva – It’s very rare the former Valencia man is not involved in the goals scored by Manchester City.

Frank Lampard – The former Chelsea legend has settled down well with his new club, scoring again this week.

Steven Gerrard – The Reds talisman was highly unlucky to get all three points after his trademark free kick passed Tim Howard.

Mile Jedinak – He finished another vital goal this week for the Crystal Palace midfielder and impressed well in the entire match.

Nacer Chadli – Scores his fourth goal of the season, helping Spurs grabbing a valuable point from the Emirates.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain – Displayed quick runs and urgency to score since the start of the game, grabbed a goal by a clinical finish in the box.


Phil Jagielka – The Everton captain left rifled in an unstoppable wonder strike leaving the home team only settling for a draw. Decent at the back throughout the 90 minutes as well.

César Azpilicueta – Linked up well with the attacking teammates of Chelsea. The Spanish full back cross found Costa who finished it brilliantly. Wasn’t much troubled, keeping a vital clean sheet for the team in blue.

Rafael da Silva – His sublime cross into the box found Wayne Rooney who scored the opener for the Red Devils.

Martin Skrtel – The Slovakian was unlucky not grabbing a clean sheet, however could not do much with Jagielka’s wonder strike. Otherwise, the center back stood strong the entire 90 minutes.

Ryan Bertnand – The former Chelsea full back’s first goal for Southampton and it was a brilliant finish.


Lukasz Fabianski – Swansea had to thank the former Arsenal shot stopper for a valuable point. Couple of luminous saves from the Poland international, clinching his third clean sheet of the new season.

Julian Speroni – Bagged in his second clean sheet so far after several saves.
