Fantasy Premier League Injury Room Updates

Manchester United has not only made the most exciting and expensive signings this season but also topped the number of injuries chart currently. The club currently has 9 players injured with few of them being lengthy side line period. A club wise report based on some noticeable key injuries the clubs are currently facing with are detailed below. Drill down the report and make necessary changes to your fantasy premier league team.

Manchester United : 9 injuries

Angel Di Maria: Suspected Calf/shin injury. The Argentine was subbed off in his first game as a precautionary measure against Burnley. He took a kick to his calf and the manager didn’t want to risk the star player. Unknown return time. The injury’s still under evaluation

Ander Herrera: Ankle/Foot injury. The Manchester United midfielder is currently suffering from an ankle injury. He’s expected to return back on 14th September.

Luke Shaw: Hamstring injury. The English left back has unexpectedly got injured after his move to Manchester United just before the start of the premier league. He is also expected to return in 2-3 weeks time. Not any serious injury to worry.

Michael Carrick: Ankle/Foot injury. Carrick has been side lined for about 2 months. Having served almost a month of that period he is expected to return in the first week of October.

Also, Juan Mata (Thigh injury), Chris Smalling(Groin injury and no return date specified), Felliani(Foot injury) are also sidelined but they are not serious injuries. Mata would most probably be ready for United’s next fixture.

Arsenal: 5 injuries

Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud are sidelined with a foot injury and reportedly Giroud will be out for 2-3 months which explains the signing of Danny Welbeck. But the former red devil’s injury has also become a concern. It is still to be evaluated while the basic reports stated nothing of major importance has happened.


Chelsea: 2 injuries

Eden Hazard is suffering a knock but there’s a 75% chance of him playing the next game. Oscar has also sidelined with an ankle injury. If all goes well, he might be available for next fixture as well.

Liverpool : 3 injuries

Glen Johnson is out of contention with a thigh injury which needs him to take 2-3 weeks to become normal. Martin Skrtel, the Slovakian center back suffered a knock and might be available for next game week. The missing man Jon Flanagan‘s return date is not yet identified. The young right back is still undergoing treatment.


Manchester City: 2 injuries

Mangala is not fit enough to start a competitive game thus far in the competition. He will be in contention for next game week. Another signing Fernando is suffering from a groin injury which might put him away for 1-2 weeks.

Everton: 5 injuries

Ross Barkley the most noticeable one is suffering from a knee injury and no return date has been specified as of now. Hard luck for the upcoming English midfielder. Steven Piennar is out with a groin injury and might return in 1-2 weeks. Lukaku suffered a knock after Chelsea’s game and is a doubt for next game week. Kone and Oviedo are the other men on the injury list. They both are expected in 2-3 weeks time.

Tottenham Hotspur: 3 injuries

Spurs big signing last season Soldado is out with a leg injury which might keep him out for 2 more weeks. Danny Rose saw his leg injured during Liverpool’s game and out for the next game week. Kyle Walker recently has undergone lower abdomen surgery after missing Spurs’ pre-season activities.

Aston Villa: Ron Vlaar: Calf injury, expected back in 2-3 weeks. Christian Benteke: Achilles(Calf/shin) injury, unknown return date.Libor Kozak: Broken leg, return date is not specified.

Burnley: Sam Vokes: Knee injury, return date not specified.

Crystal Palace: Chamakh: knee injury, expected back in 2-3 weeks. Dwight Gayle: Ankle injury, would be ready for next game week. Ledley: Groin injury, injury time specified to be 2-3 weeks.

Hull City: Robert Snodgrass, knee injury and return date is not specified.

Leicester City: Matthew Upson: Knee injury, expected back in 2-3 weeks. Matthew James: Knock, will be fit for next game.

Newcastle United: Davide Santon: Knee injury and no specified return date. Ryan Taylor: Lack of match fitness, will be back by 20th september. Daryl Janmaat: Knock, most probably will start the next game. Tiote: Hamstring injury, sidelined for 3 weeks. Papiss Demba Cisse: Knee injury, expected back in 2-3 weeks. Jack Colback: Knock, 75% chance of being in contention.

QPR: Faurlin: Ligament injury, unknown return date.

Southampton: Jay Rodriguez: Knee injury, no specified return date. Isgrove: knock, 50% chance of playing.
Stoke City: Odemwingie: Knee injury, unknown return date. Ireland: Rib injury, expected back in 2 weeks. Cameron: Thigh injury, 2-3 weeks time.
