David Silva, who weekly earns his manager’s trust in the team’s starting line up is vastly known for his contributions to Manchester City over the years where they have been astounding the league. The 28 years old midfield maestro has only played for two clubs so far in his career, boyhood club Valencia and now with The Citizens. David Silva and Manchester City, began the season affably with 2-0 win over Newcastle United, where the Spaniard was on the score sheet. The following week against last season’s runner up Liverpool, he again displayed great attacking flare for the team in sky blue. Yet, losing to Stoke City, and continuous draws with table toppers Chelsea and Arsenal, made the Citizens pivot down the table. Moreover, Silva did not give out his finest performances that he frequently does. Last weekend’s match against Hull City demonstrated that never take the Champions too lightly. Although they where troubled at the back couple of times, the attacking wizards did their job, securing at 4-2 away win. David Silva dazzled the Hull defense, assisting Edin Dzeko twice. Besides that, he was merely occupying the both flanks, having City fans admiring his enormous work rate and passing ability.

This is nothing new for the Manchester City fans, as it’s somewhat ordinary the Spain international has been opening to the club since his arrival in year 2010. He was awarded Etihad Player’s Player of the Season for the Year for 2011-2012 season. Another great strength of David Silva is the versatility of playing either as an attacking midfielder or winger. The Spain international has played 131 times for the Sky Blues, clinching 22 goals. A rare fact is he was commonly nicknamed “Chino”, which means Chinese in the language Spanish, due to his physical appearances. Hence, Chino was a sublime product of Valencia, where he gradually grew to become one of their greatest players they had. Besides club achievements, the magnificent winger enjoyed great success with his national side Spain over the years. There is no doubt, his services was extremely precious for the 2010 World Cup champions. Since year 2006, he has played for Spain 85 times plus scoring 21 goals. David Silva won three consecutive major trophies with Spain, Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012, an extraordinary record that will be talked forever.

So far along his spell with Manchester City, he has already won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup and one FA Community Shield.
